Ken why don't you take a back seat until you understand how people on TM think:

I am sorry, it doesn't work that way. It is a free-thinking site where MOST people agree with each other and when they don't, it is done politely. I take great exception to you asking me to leave. As you are a newcomer may I remind you of "When in Rome" etc. I don't think I have said or written anything our moderators would argue with, but as this reminfs me of "baiting" I will treat it as such.

Gents, let us start again?
I am a new owner of a Morgan 1993 Plus 8, 3'9 V8
I am considering replacing the water/antifreeze in the coolant system for an Evans waterless coolant. Does anyone have any knowledge ore advice about this option?

Regards
Ken A

The only thing I know about it is that you have to get ALL of the water out of the system.

Bob, thanks for that, my worry is that i knew this from Evans data but i have seen info that suggests that 97% evacuation is almost impossible. Any thoughts.
In any event does Evans help with cooling?

Ken

Williams certainly believe it does - used in their racing cars... smile

My concern about using stuff like Evans is that a 3.9 Morgan in standard tune ought to have adequate (admittedly marginally so) cooling.

If it's overheating, then using a waterless coolant might be masking a problem (e.g. partially blocked radiator?) which doesn't strike me as a good idea.

Fitting an oil cooler and/or an enlarged alloy radiator seems to be a much better strategy.
