I thought that he'd mellowed by the end of the evening...even if he did take his time leaving! Perhaps it was dawning on him what a bunch of weirdos we all are!

I would like to think that his mellowing was due to my charm and ability to defuse difficult situations, but I suspect it was my threat of a good thumping on the 30th when he met us face to face.

Compared to him, I think we're pretty normal! Very late into this thread you guys have behaved impeccably and in particular SteveT. He has displayed the panoply of talents required as a Publican and I'm sure Giles would welcome him any day in Paris. TM at it's finest.
