I am sure this will have been addressed imany times but a search has not provided the answer. I have a 2006 plus 4. When I purchased the car 18 months ago there was a difference in right hight at the rear. The drivers side being lower than the passenger side. A quick check on the Internet and with Williams confirmed that different heights was not unusual within a couple of centimetres. That said mine appears to be getting worse. As this appears to be fairly common is there. "Quick Fix" or is it a change of rear leaf springs? Any advice appreciated or a pointer to a relevant previous thread. Thanks

2006 is in the era when the factory rear springs were of very poor quality, seems to have started around 2005 (ish) and gone on until 200* (ish) nothing is finite dates with Morgan. My 2008 4 seater had 3 sets of springs under warranty until the factory changed supplier and they were fine after that. I am afraid new springs is the answer, as the OE U bolts are very poor and soft as carrots it's a perfect time to upgrade to a set of Mulfab U Bolts and Spring plates, takes no extra labour to fit them other than cutting the bolts to length so well worth doing whilst it's all apart. Having done a set on my current 2 seater I would say it's a physically tough job, not complex but without a good trolley Jack and decent axle stands might be a lot less hassle to book it in to a dealer, the job is far simpler with a car ramp.

My 2005 Roadster has 6 leaves and therefore a hard ride. I suspect this changed as Colin suggests - soon after to 4 leaves with bigger diameter U bolts. (Exact dimensions escape me without checking). May have been 3/8" to 7/16". Interestingly my 2012 Plus 4 had poor rear springs which bottomed constantly. Replaced last year with 4 seater springs has transformed it.

Replaced last year with 4 seater springs has transformed it. I am trying to hold onto my bladder here.....when I bought the present 2008 +4 2 seater in February of 2012 I was very disappointed with the rear suspension. As I could never be considered a lightweight and often carry luggage I decided to fit the revised rear springs and also I chose 4 seat versions (remember this would be about April 2012. I posted on an internet DG(not on here) what I had done to almost total derision and comments that I must be mad and the car would jump all over the place....like you I am rather chuffed at its handling and find it gives a very comfortable ride, ride heights were checked and after an initial increase at the rear of 10-15mm compared to a brand new car in a dealership it settled to around 8-10mm so well pleased and never had it bottom out again at the rear since. ;-)
