21 out of 22 I'm sandgrown (work that out non Lanky's) so would have been disappointed with anything less. Both parents born in Lancashire and I well remember my Mothers use of broad Lancashire dialect, she was born in Ramsbottom or Tups Arse as the locals called it smile

Sadly I only managed 22/22 cheers which has a lot to do with being born and bred in Preston, and being married to a Morecambe lass.
Might not do so well with a cockney rhyming slang version.

I was born in Formby and my Dad was born in Southport and I think they used to refer to people born in Southport as "Sandgrounders". Happy to be corrected.

Roger, I was born in Blackpool, so I think anyone born in a coastal town is deemed Sandgrown, Sandgrounders or similar, certainly for Blackpool you were Sandgrown or a Sandgrownun.
