I thought the estate agents in Kidderminster was good - Doolittle & Dally. Always made me wonder, do they or don't they....

One of my favourites turned out to be entirely apocryphal, but worth repeating. When the National Grid was privatised and Powergen ran many of the generating stations, they were looking to expand into Europe (before all the corporate expansion turned around and came back the other way). Their Italian subsidiary had an awful lot of unexpected traffic to its website: powergenitalia.com

I've always liked Private Eye's spoof solicitors, Sue, Grabbit and Runne. Then there's the domestic waste disposal company in London (this one's real) - Carter, Whey and Tippit.

I remember a TV Aerial company years ago, it was their logo which was amusing - "A Perfect Erection Every Time"

The opening of a ladies hairdressers opposite our dog-sitter unhappily coincided with the rise of the barbarous group of pseudo-religious murderers of the same name - Isis. The hairdressers closed two days ago. Sad.

I do remember driving through Moreton in Marsh in the 70's and seeing the Sook Erection company mentioned earlier - sadly the site is now a supermarket.

In Wells (Somerset) the baker goes by the name of "Burns the Bread".

In the 80's I worked for Plessey Telecommunications which was merged with GEC Telecommunications to form GPT which sounds OK until they ventured to open a Paris office. (GPT pronounced in a similar way to "Je l'ai pété" - I have farted)
