Some scoops came with a smaller front opening...some with a larger one. Otherwise the shape and dimensions are the same.

aren't the scoops, like the bonnet, made on site?

is there a reason for a difference in size? Not that size matters apparently thinking

The scoops are not made on site. They are welded and bonded to the bonnet during construction. These are the two styles.....

It was the same with the Plus 4SS I believe....some had one style, some the other.

Here's the one on my actual car. It is a little odd as I would have thought that maximising the 'ram air' effect and having the same size/shape air inlet on each car would have been important to ensure that the same engine map works consistently for each car.

Looks like I have the 'turbo ready' option!

Not just my imagination then, I did think it looked different. I marginally prefer the design in the second of Jay's pictures, but I'm sure it will grow on me

Ram Air Effect is negligible anyway...
It's just a little extra space for the TB inlets... smile
