With the right boiler suit could seat belts be a thing of the past?  Can be developed further - use on luggage racks and luggage without needing to strap it down.  I'll take 25% for my input...

Carefully positioned pieces on the tyres and a pocket roll to quickly stick some to the road saves using the handbrake!

Entire road surfaces and tyres covered in Velcro would provide superior handling and make skidding a thing of the past.

And increase rolling resistance to such a level that a 4/4 would probably only manage 10mpg - if it got moving at all!!!
