Amongst the YouTube videos, he cooks a meal on a Covetee's V8 Which made me wonder - wouldn't a Morgan V8 be the ideal motorised cooker - access to the engine is so much easier.

I hope the beeb don't ruin Chris Harris's style of car reviews I really appreciate his style and seems very genuine
Why did they need a stig is that to stamp it saying it's still top gear?
I bet the program doesn't have the self depreciation of the original presenters.
As primes program approaches broadcast in the autumn no doubt the beeb will go on a full anti clarkson offensive in the news.

You are not in the minority of the majority of TG fans (us older types). Frankly I have never heard of most of them, in fact all of them bar Evans, Jordan and Sabine. Even so and despite the apparent lack of REFRESH I am hopeful of a great programme. Only time will tell?

I'm reading Richard Porters book about TG, "and on that bombshell". He was the script editor for 13 years, 22 series and 175 TG shows.
What comes out of the book is that the Clarkson, May and Hammond version of TG was a team exercise. It was very different from the original TG. I have no doubt that the Evans et.al. TG will be different, again.
Will it be better? No idea, but as Porter makes clear the last iteration of TG took about 6 shows to get into its groove.
Me...I view the change rather like a change of Dr Who. Some are good, some are brilliant and some I don't like. But Dr Who goes on as I suspect TG will.
As to the "Three Stooges" as long as Andy Wilman and Richard Porter are behind it we should see something familiar. Will it stand up against TG? We will have to wait and see.

I noticed that some TG scenes were slotted into James May's car programme last Sunday. Including Clarkson.

I noticed that some TG scenes were slotted into James May's car programme last Sunday. Including Clarkson. I think it's good that the BBC can still feel able to do that. They had little choice but to sack him but I suspect that they didn't want him to go. TG was really about the three guys and their relationship......this new one won't have that aspect to help it along. Nor will it have Wilman at the helm? I thought he'd walked along with the others.

Clarkson has written an article about this so it must be true! He's also fessed up to fixing the TG Reliant Robin feature by welding up the diff so it rolled. He now say's they are quite stable

Here, on the continent, they still show the old TopGear shows. I must say, that I always enjoy them and that for me, Clarkson, Hammond and May are THE presenters. Sunny greetings, Ivo
