@EA1, the color of my Plus 4 is Bentley Emerald Green Metallic. It’s a very dark green that looks nearly black in the shadow. In sunshine is a very fine green. And again a quick question here for all the Morgan experts here. I saw this offer from Williams Automobiles: ECU Power Upgrade for 399 BP: http://www.williamsautomobiles.com/racin...power-upgrades/- Any idea how many HP it will deliver on a Plus 4 that comes with 145 HP? - Curves available before and after the upgrade? - And the last question: Any idea if someone in Germany offers a similar service? I saw in an older post that Williams Automobiles offers to get the ECU by post – they will do the upgrade and sent it back. But I would prefer a local service. Regards, Kay

Kay, the 145 HP Duratec is very tunable. Are you sure you just want to have the remap? I would think about a sports manifold and perhaps an improved air intake in front of an ECU remap. There are different solutions, also some which would not rise the noise level too much, dependent on what you like to achieve. On TM are members who have the experiences about tuning this engine on different levels. I never had this engine in one of my Mogs. Re the remap, I would choose a shop which offers a rolling road measurement...not only to see any differences but to control that the remap is made ok and will not harm the engine. I have no clue who could do this job properly in Germany. The most serious offer (beside Williams if they make the remap at their shop) could be this Austrian based company, Hannes (The Austrian) may tell you more about his experiences. They do a rolling road test before altering anything. www.chipfactory.atI would appreciate it if you could share an address when you find a good remap solution in Germany.

Agreed I would do the easy stuff first & then the ECU. Adding a batter air filter on my 4/4 added a lot I suspect but the previous owner then chipped it (a zetec) & it was like driving a 2 stroke motorbike.
My +4 with new filter (K&N standard airbox) & Librands exhaust & manifold worked brilliantly at freeing up the power but more importantly the torque to deliver a great car with mid range grunt.
My current Roadster frankly has more of both than I can normally use or need but I still did the K&N

Williams have an excellent reputation but if you don't want to send them your ECU you could consider Bluefin http://www.mybluefin.co.uk/search?make=42&fueltype=1&model=342&variant=1194I don't recall who but one of our members was very happy with the results in his Plus 4. Note that this will not suit a GDI Plus 4. PS. It should be noted that with the Bluefin device you can install the re-map yourself and the unit stores your original map so you can set it back to standard any time you wish.

That was me, Peter! I found it a definite improvement particularly in the willingness to rev - also totally removed a flatish spot about 2700rpm.
Definitely improved the drive ability of my car.
