Taken the Roadster to Jersey a couple of times, on the Condor fast cat from Poole. Once, when the tie was out at St Helier, the exhaust grounded at the rear, no damage. But the car was fully loaded, with luggage and co-pilot...
Taking the Aero Plus 8 on the same service on 31st March so I'll find out if it is a problem. I doubt it.
Interestingly both times the load master commented that as the car had a fly off handbrake they would chock it as well as strap it down.

Peter, You don't mention the weight of the Pilot as a factor... Hope they can get the fast cat fixed for you. With two crashes and numerous engine, generator and steering gear issues since it was brought into service, I trust they don't have a 'Condor Moment' when you travel. Monday 29 February 2016 Condor Liberation
Following the technical problems which affected the Liberation sailing on Friday, our engineers have sourced the parts needed to make a permanent repair to the steering modules. These were dispatched from the supplier last week but unfortunately have not yet been received
