Stewart if I ever get the chance I'll take you out in my smart roadster one day it may change you opinion  it's been off road more than my neighbours 4x4 that's for sure.

The car looks fine to me, no different than any other five door hatch, good design for its intended use. However a Hyundai will do the same job, and save you lots of money to put towards another toy for pure enjoyment.

To my mind any car built on a production line by robots is going to be no different from any equivalent car regardless of the badge it wears. Most of them share platforms, engines, and stuff anyway.
I have a 'Buy British policy', working on the basis that I prefer to keep my neighbours in work wherever I can, so it's Honda, Toyota, or Nissan i would tend to look at first for vehicles like this.
But I'm sure there will be people out there happy to pay over the odds simply to have the Maserati badge on their car.

Take the badges off and who will give it a second look. They should stick to cars like the ones they made in the past.
