Heading to Dundee on the M90 this morning ,hit a pheasant full on at 60 mph .Thankfully I was driving my Volvo C30 and not my Morgan .Front grill destroyed minor bumper damage . Called into Volvo garage on my return to Perth .New grill will be there tomorrow morning ,they will fit while I wait at no extra charge .Cost for new grill £175 .I was never keen on Pheasant .

In the late 1970s dad took my Volvo 144 he was behind a wagon and a log shot off and straight through the grill into the radiator . Dad did not pull the wagon up continued his journey sorted out his business. Returned and told me your car needs mending and walked home . He could not care less if it had been a new Rolls .

Strathmore Motors always were one of our best, superb customer service and there were always staff from there at training events in Scotland and at the dealer training centre in Daventry. The Cameron's run a very tight ship.

I hit one with the 4/4. I'd steered to miss the bird, but it turned back on seeing me approach and I had no chance of avoiding.
Did a right number on it, not worth taking the roadkill home and I had a quite unpleasant (or should that be un-pheasant) job of cleaning the front suspension.

Must be something about C30s this week, mine was shoved up the rear by a young lad in a Fabia Wednesday afternoon on the way home... That's a bugger Graham, I hope you and the car weren't badly damaged?

You were lucky, I hit one on the M4 last year, overtook a truck and as I looked in the mirror to make sure it was safe to pull back into lane 1 a Pheasant on the hard shoulder ran out destroying my grill number plate and parking sensor = £220

Almost the same today - driving towards Moreton on Marsh in the Roadster. Phil the Cock Pheasant steps out in front of us - has a good look at us and slowly struts across the Road  Luckily we were not going fast nothing behind us and had time to brake.

Just depends on how the tow hitch mounts as that took the most of the hit...
