Is it worth having a spare wheel and tyre cover? If so, where best to buy it, MMC themselves or get one made locally by an upholsterer for, hopefully less money.

Paul,
I would think the main benefit is to prevent UV degradation, not much chance of that in the UK, or to keep the rain from lying in the rim and possibly rusting the spokes.
I have found that my side screen bag does a pretty good job on both accounts and they do seem very costly from MMC.

Here for a good time not a long time!!

Realistically - no! Rain will get in the hole where the T bar passes through so it will get wet inside. It's better to let the wheel rim breathe.

To be honest I prefer the look of a wire wheel over the look of a cover.

I agree with DaveW. Unless you leave your Morgan outside in bad weather, the wheel will probably fare better if you let it breathe.

In America you can usually get tire covers for free on your Jeep if you let the dealer advertise on it.

I have a spare tire cover paid for by the MMC without any advertisement.
Cheers,
Mark

That's brilliant Mark, would like to source one in the UK. Might be worth a call to Sid Watson to see if he could make one, or more if there was enough interest.
