Thanks for the warm welcome everyone, shooter your GTN is stunning, I have to admit I am most likely going to have mine painted in the GTN colours, it just looks so right. One day I really hope to own a GTN, not sure what value is on them atm tho.
Going to get expensive as I want the interior redoing too, it's a shame I missed out on the GTN coloured one at Allen White, I prefer cars with original colours so I hope what I do isn't considered blasphemy!
Well there is only one for sale at the moment and it appears grossly overpriced. My guess is the significant other of this owner has told them to sell it and by listing it at this price not much is happening :-)
The realistic price has been creeping up in recent years, about 4 years ago they could be had for £40k + then they went to around £60k when I last looked at the idea of getting one. I haven't seen any others for sale since I bought mine last September when the price had got to £75k.
So, I would expect all things being equal, over the next year or so we might see £80 to £85k (Would be nice for those of us with them)
Nick, I guess I should make some enquiries and find out exactly what the differences are!
The facts I know at the moment are:
Alpina 4.6 engine Much bigger brakes with ram air vents in front bumper for cooling Carbon fibre hardtop Colour scheme. Mauritius Blue Pearl/Titan Silver
Things I've heard but not confirmed:
The cars were not built going through Morgan's normal production line but separately by a small team
3 of the 11 (that I know of) also have a soft top. Unlike the S2/S4 cars, the soft top is not installed under the hardtop but instead of.
1 of the 11 has a slightly wider body. I haven't measured it to give exact size difference but I have seen it and would appear to be perhaps 1 or 2 inches wider.
