Hi Folks, there has been a thread on here regarding changing the single horn to twin horns, I bought the twin horns and hopefully will be fitting them this afternoon, the roadster has twin horns, my plus 4 doesn't, does the plus 4 wiring loom have the second set of wires to connect the second horn, if so does anyone know where they are hidden?? If no second set of wires what is the best way to connect them? Many thanks (I'm useless at electricity!!) Ian

On my car the wiring for the second horn was taped up next to the wire leading to the single horn. I had difficulty getting enough free to reach the second horn and had to make a short extension piece. The lack of free length may have been because the wires had to fit around the aircon radiator.
Be careful to set the horns so that any water that enters can drain out. They are mounted in a rather vulnerable place if you enter standing water. I managed to drown a set of new FIAM horns that never really recovered. As luck would have it I had found a horn of the same type and in the tone to compliment the single horn originally fitted by Morgan so I have recently fitted those.
I can't say if the GDI has the same wiring but the mounting hole for the second horn is probably already in the panel. It is a bit awkward to get fingers in above the panel to fasten the the horn but it can be done.

Thanks Peter, I agree they are in a vulnerable place, I will have a closer look this afternoon for the other wire, I had a quick look the other day and could not see a wire at either side, however I will be jacking the front up so can get under a bit easier, cheers
Yes, it has the second hole, that's why I was wondering if the wiring was the same for roadster and plus 4

I fitted a second horn to my 2011 Plus4. The necessary wiring was tied close to the existing horn. The horns are normally installed as a combination of hi tone and Lo tone. So check which one you have installed and buy the other. The type hi or Lo is stamped on the horn allied the voltage info etc.
I bought the same make and model as originally fitted by the factory, from Holden Vintage and Classic car parts. About 9.50 plus vat. They are "Plastic windtone" horns Low tone 080.468 high tone 080.469
Very easy to fit. This setup does not require a separate relay.

I fitted twin horns on my GDI. The wiring is all there, just needs extending by a few inches, and both holes are already drilled. Easy to fit and well worth doing as the standard horn is a bit weedy.

Thank you for all the replies and information, I'll let you know how I get on, time to go play in the garage now!
Cheers folks, job done!! Second wire was folded back on itself and taped up inside the loom, just required loom tape cutting and wires pulling out, easy!! PIAA twin horns fitted!!

Is a relais required or do the PIAA TH work directly connected?
