I've ordered the eject spring kit for the standard cheapo dzus style fasteners from garage56. If my experience with a Piper Arrow engine cowl is anything to go by it should make removal/refitting a doddle. Hi Richard, Having fitted my G56 spring , I have had to go back round the fasteners replacing the the factory issue circular wire clip that stops the zues coming right through the bonnet with a proper 6mm E type circlip. The spring are not strong but had enough force to pull one of my zeus clip clean through the bonnet. Not the springs fault , the factory fitted wire was failing fast with use. The E clips I have fitted in place of the wire stop that completely. So I suggest considering doing this at the time of fitting the springs to save undoing them all again ! Many thanks for advice - do you have a source link to the 6mm E type circlips you used, as I want to be sure they fit without issue? 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Note that the price you pay for a new morgan is the price at time of dispatch, NOT at time of order.
so if you ordered today but it was dispatched from factory after the new price list is in force you pay the then current price, ie the higher price.
not that a few hundred quid should be an issue i guess when we are talking over £30,000 for a car without roof, heater, pas, windows that looks like a upturned bath tub!! Greatest of fun though...........! Are you sure about this? It seems that Morgan shouldn't take an order at an agreed price and then change the price upon delivery.

It seems that Morgan shouldn't take an order at an agreed price and then change the price upon delivery. They were willing to take all mine up front but I ended up doing 50%

Cost options, Waterproof leather £997.50.
I thought the leather was waterproofed as standard.

Although I didn't make it clear, it's the thickness of the clips I was concerned with, since they typically fit into a machined groove. Was therefore hoping nippymog could advise which ones he used.

Yes pretty sure I'm 100% correct on that, unless its changed since this time last year. Best check with a dealer to be 100% but thats how the Morgan ordering system works. Thinking about it, was talking to a guy in jan at the open day who has a plus8 on order since last Dec. Thats subject to an april price increase - its not due to be made until June/july so he will have to pay the increased cost apparently - another £1500 odd i think. I know when you usually order a car its price is fixed at time of order - not so in the Morgan world.

In the New World, you must make payment in GBP, and at any time, as long as payment is received on or before actual delivery. So, the actual price can fluctuate based on the value of the GBP relative to the USD. I would think someone who ordered before the April 1 price revise would pay the GBP quoted at time of purchase. In any event, it might make sense to make payment in full before April 1, especially since the exchange rate is so favorable for Yanks. 2) I never understood the leather to be be "Waterproof", and frankly that sounds like a violation of nature...can we all say "Vinyl"...and like that unsympathetic material, totally unappealing. To make leather truly "Waterproof" would require a topical layer of some form of PVC, which reminds me of embalming...with the same nasty connotation. If anything, an M3W is truly alive.
