My 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon attracted a VED of £180 when I first bought it, think it went up to £220. It may have been unusual as it was a cancelled order by the MOD White Fleet bought off Marple Rd Garage near Stockport. They had taken 18 of these from the MOD lease company, all identical with just delivery miles. That's good, they are up to £500 a year now. We pay £290 for the Td5.

I prefer mine electronics free - less interaction with my radio equipment... As all the electronics are in the box under the driver's seat, would it not be possible to isolate them with a Faraday cage arrangement? Not just the box of electronics Tim - it's all the associated wiring and signals it carries - potential (and known) interference in both directions i.e. to vehicle and to radio kit...

Yes, but the prices of them have gone stupid. Interestingly, heading the other direction on Gloucester Northern by-pass yesterday evening was a 101FC. No mistaking the front, even in the dark, particularly as it was in a very light colour, but could not tell what the body was... has enough trouble getting into the 90 on 7.50R16 tyres, she'd need a stepladder for a 101! Dad and I quite fancied one when they were first being demobbed.
