A drive to/from Boston to NY via Cape Cod is great too....new England at its finest.

Crossing the States in a M3W is a brave attempt.
Do not forget to bring all key spareparts with you!

Wish you all the best and good luck!

Richard how are you getting the car home again, shipping from west coast or transport/drive east first? A list of all Morgan & S&S dealers near your route would be good just in case.
Perhaps TM members near Richards route who could offer support & assistance could get in touch. Dan has already kicked this off.
Best wishes with your trip.

I agree with Charlie with Grundy for insurance. If you'll be anywhere between Michigan and Illinois, there's a few of us around that can assist as well.

Get close to Chicago and I'd be tempted to open a particularly familiarly labeled bottle of Clynelish ... innocent

thumbs cheers

Anyone know if it's possible to rent a M3W in New York?

I use Heacock on all three of my Morgans.

Try emailing Diane Lopez at Heacock: dlopez@heacockclassic.com

She is very helpful.

Good luck.

Morgans are not generally available as rentals. However, there is a seller on Long Island (NYC suburb) that might work something out.

On another note, it's unclear if the OP has actually driven on USA Interstates, but I cannot think of a more punishing way to experience either the USA or an M3W than taking one across the USA on the Interstate system. I'm not sure what the point of that would be. If you have but 3 weeks to drive here, I would much more like to see you have a pleasant experience, maybe select one region to explore using back roads with glorious scenery and beautiful roads and we could help with the itinerary.
