I was always led to understand that several was three or more. Reflecting on this now, it was never quite made clear how many more!

I was always led to understand that several was three or more. Reflecting on this now, it was never quite made clear how many more! That's what i was told, but when does several become many ?

Several or Few is three or more! How do I know - well my english teacher told me - and she was ALWAYS right!!!

My mum told me that a few meant 3, some meant 5, several meant 7, and many or lots meant more than 12.

I would suggest a Tic is a measurement of time moving forward, and a Mo ( moment) is a position in time. But all very contradictory.
Perhaps someone ca determine a more precise definition Mr DaveW, I'm sure they won't be a tic.
