I mainly write in capitals anyway - all telegrams used to be in block capitals before I learned to type at the same time as receiving morse code... My typing now seems to be going the same way as my writing

My typing now seems to be going the same way as my writing Glad I'm not alone writing in all capitals. Stroll on, I remember filling in those forms for the Telex girls in capitals too :-) Mostly though I blame it on working in the drawing office.

Ah, Keith, I fully understand the watch weakness. I have bought quite a few which I love to bits. My latest is being made for me as I write, it should be with me in a few months and will be the only one in the world like it. As for pens, well I used to always write to people using a vintage Parker and even used sealing wax, with the appropriate personal seal, to fix the envelops but nobody wants to respond to that anymore so it's down to one finger typing here. Will I see you at Snetterton on April 9th for the first race of the season?

How very obscene. One could buy a very nice Mont Blanc for $500-1000, and have a very nice expensive pen, and then donate $104,000 to a worthy cause.
How sad. Why not buy one for £20 and give the extra 480 - 980 to a worthy cause too? Why pick 500 as a reasonable amount? It just depends doesn't it? It's pretty sad that we have anything much when there are people fleeing war and starving all over the world. We have to live with our choices don't we? I have a few vintage Parker fountain pens - but rarely write these days. When I do, my writing is so bad that I often write in capitals. Awful.
Ah... watches Keith. I have rather splashed out on those over the years. In one case quite literally and lost an extremely valuable Breguet in the Solent. It's still down there somewhere. Think that would break my heart Neil.

Well it was insured and Chubb sent me a cheque without complaint for the full amount - I replaced it. I was lucky not to have been killed in the boat accident - only a dislocated shoulder. So I got lucky - sort of. I do occasionally Google to see if anyone has found a gold Breguet in the Solent - also the watch is on Breguet's missing list, so it should come back to me eventually if it's ever found.

I have a couple of Wax Jacks too. All kept in a vintage Campaign Writing box. Hoping to make the Snetterton race, be good to see you again.
