Phillip from NZ posted the following, and if true it could ruin my day! I ordered 5 weeks ago, but am still 6 weeks from my build date. Does any one have first-hand experience with these upcharges?

"Check with your dealer and Morgan carefully before you commit to a change of your original specification. Morgan charge £250 per change. I changed a few things on mine 10 days after the initial order and 2 months before it was built and they charged me 4 lots of £250 (£1000!) for the privilege."

Here is my invoice. On checking I can see I only got charged for 2 or maybe the rate was $125 per change. Anyway, I ordered on the 21st April, changed my spec on 4th May, car commenced build on the 13th June. And I got pinged £500

And the pin-up girl was still put in the wrong place :-)

I really do think that is absolutely disgraceful. It used to be part of the attraction of the bespoke cars that you could change the specification at any time up until the car went into build.

I made several changes before the final spec and was not charged the so called "Specification change admin fee". At the most it costs them 5 minutes to change the spec in the computer system. Let's be generous and say 10 minutes to read the (e)mail and enter the change. That makes a fee of £3,000 and hour. I wish I could get that.

I sadly can confirm: the DO charge.. (or in some cases at least try to..) for changes made. doh

In certain cases even for mistakes corrected they made on their side... one had to discuss to withdraw those charges back from the prices! nono mad2 coffee..... thinking spend wine

I'm in a similar situation in that my build starts in two weeks and I was adding a couple of new options only a week ago.

According to my dealer whilst sales say no the production team are more accomodating (read flexible). Consequently (I'm told) the full screen will be factory fitted and the new rear wheel mudguard dealer fitted at PDI, so I get what I want - hopefully waiting

Funny that in both the cars I ordered I totally changed my order when I visited the factory and discussed with Sales Dep. what was best for me.

The 4 wheeled Morgan I ordered was originally a 4/4. While visiting the factory I had a meeting with Mark Ledington and before that ended my order was changed to a Plus 4.

The 3 wheeler I ordered was a normal one. While visiting the factory I had a meeting with Nick Baker (Mark was at Geneva) and before that ended my order was changed to a Brooklands model.

No fees were applied. Obviously.
