Rear nipple is just about possible with a narrower than standard greasegun'nozzle'.But the front nipple is inaccessible...ideas about how to grease this one?...apart from shaft removal!

You need a Sealey needle grease gun attachment. Look on EBay. I had just the same problem with the front uj on the prop shaft.

Pop it down to your friendly local garage and ask them if they'd mind popping a great gun with stiff flexi extension on it. Mine does and it's worth the beer for the mechanic.

It's worth being a little careful with a big grease gun on the propshaft bearings, they are needle rollers and a high pressure gun can easily damage the bearings. Unlike the stub axles, the needle rollers on the propshaft should have a very long life with very little lubrication.

Crikey - I have seen a grease nipple at the bevel box end of mine , but not at the gearbox end , I must have another look !
Is it like the BBox end one ?

Personally I'd leave it alone. If properly packed a U joints should last at least 50-60 thousand miles. As Hamwich said be careful. If you blow a sea lyour doing more harm than good

Lift out the two seat bases, four cap screws along the prop shaft tunnel and 4 at the back and left the tunnel cover off. Takes mins. The front one is a bit more of a bugger as you have to lift the transmission housing up, but again thats only 4 cap screws.
