A Pair of 8s.
Driving back from the factory yesterday I pulled into the M5 Gloucester Services for a bite to eat and to visit the butchers for some mutton... At a service area you ask? Well the Gloucester services are more of a Farm Shop than anything else: the food is excellent. If you are driving past Gloucester on the M5 a visit is essential...!
To my surprise as I pulled into the car park I found the factory Aero 8 demonstrator....so had to park next to it!
Two stunning examples of Morgan's craftsmanship...including a Plus 8 with a nice new Roll Bar..
It turns out that it was being borrowed by the Morgan Dealer in Cornwall to let 5 or 6 prospects have a go over the weekend! So as we left the two of us made a lot of childish noise by revving our cars.... The demonstrator has side exhausts and is VERY loud. Tarka is just loud.
Enjoy...
PS: Added a nice photo of the Aero Wheel, they are one of the most stylish, elegant and delicate forged alloy wheels I know!!

Strange world moment.
I was driving the Coupe back to the factory on monday last week and the demonstrator was on the M4 so I fell in behind it most of the way back. I had to turn off at Tetbury to perform a little task.
The two cars certainly got some attention running together.
I was a little worried about the back end of the S5 looking heavy from photos but actually it looked really good on the road.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

The original Aero wheels are now almost sold out at MMC and Morgan are not planning on getting any more from Japan. The new ones are UK made and MUCH cheaper....but lack the elegance (and strength) of the originals... Agree with this, but of course you meant the original AeroMax wheels Peter! They are expensive, but well worth it IMHO - the best wheels ever on an Aero?

Caroline has some very clear views on wheels... she hates the flat disc wheels on the Sportster, whilst I rather like them. She has said that she would like Aeromax wheels on her Mercedes, which says it all really!

I agree, the S5 looks better in the metal than it does in photos...but it is colour sensitive, in my view.
I like the look of the Burgundy Red demonstrator much more than the light coloured one with green leather. Jon Wells loves the light coloured one, I'm told.

I'm not sure a dealer would know what to do - I assume it's a function of the ECU. It's about to have it's first 12 month service, I'll mention it.

I know! Zapped past. Life is like a loo roll, the closer to the end the faster it spins! I've just clicked over 5,000 miles - must do better!

I often pop into the services if I'm passing by....possibly the nicest services on the motorway network. As you say, the farm shop is worth visiting!

Yes I know - Mrs Roadster calls in sometimes...so impressed she suggested we go just for a visit!! Am trying to avoid that ...unless going past on a different mission!!!

I'm pleased it isn't closer, otherwise i'd find myself driving to the service area just for a bacon buttie and a coffee.... and driving to a motorway service area seems a bit sad. Although when the M1 opened people used to go to Watford Gap services for a treat.....!!
