Here the greasing scheme I applied on my former 4/4 (1991): -sliding axles (imperative and very important if you want to obtain a high mileage on your king pins): every 2500 kms (pump grease till the old grease is being pressed out and carefully wipe the whole area free of old and new grease) -steering joints: every 2500 kms (carefully do not overfill and harm the rubber protective sealing) -damper blades( the horizontal steel blades between the sliding axle and the chassis): every 2500 kms clean and apply grease where they enter the chassis above and under -one shot oiling system (plunger inside above the pedal assembly): I used it the first 10000 kms, then never used it since; this oiling system is abandoned by the factory -pedal axle: every 10000-15000 kms -cardan axle: every 10000-15000 kms -rear axle: every 20000-25000 kms (hypoid oil!) -engine oil (15W40) and filter (Ford CVH): every 5000 kms -gearbox: no oil change (did 86000 kms in total) -handbrake assembly mounted on the rear axle and drum brakes: once a year cleaning and greasing -wire wheels: once a year removal and thorough cleaning, greasing the splines
The rest of the DIY service: plugs and air filter (20000kms); service-free electronic ignition. Keep the engine bay and the whole front suspension clean; it's nicer to look at and easier to work on.

@dherdebart Many thanks for your complete info...some things maybe different on my (older model) Morgan 4/78... i noticed 2 greasenipples on pedal system...and only one 1 on the rear of cardan axle... re: copy "damper blades( the horizontal steel blades between the sliding axle and the chassis): every 2500 kms clean and apply grease where they enter the chassis above and under" end copy.
Oops..forgot this one, is there a nipple to grease or is it just puttinge grease on upper and uderside of the blade..?
However many thanks already for your info... unlike the other forums i am on from my other cars there seems to be on this morgan forum not so many DIY owners....
Thks Herman..
wants to buy: a luggage rack for 2 str 4/78 normal bumper, prefer sidescreen holds.

Hello Herman, -About the greasing of the damper blades: after cleaning just apply a firm "line" of grease on the blade (upper and lower side); -About the tyre pressure: 1.3 bar is quite low, but provides a softer ride ( part of the Morgan suspension is due to the low inflation of the tyres); the factory puts 1.6 bar; I usually inflate the tyres to 1.8 bar, especially for longer motorway runs at high speed giving a better roadholding and a longer tyre life. Greetings Bart D'herde
