Daughter home from uni. wanted to go for a ride in the MOG.
I really enjoy night driving as the magnolia dials give a warm cosy glow and you can see the bullet lights on the wings.
I noticed a flicker on all the lights including the dash dials. nothing too serious but a flicker none the less. i have changed the headlights for night breakers and the side lights to LEDs. Not sure if that would affect it.
Any ideas what is causing it as i haven't noticed it before?

Try the dimmer switch.It might be a dodgy connection. My Roadster panel lights are temperamental. Switch the sidelights on and there's a delay of about five seconds. With the ignition off they don't seem to light at all. Quirky? Absolutely.

Dave mine don't do that. Very strange. I am sure Morgans have souls hence the quirks!

if its easy to get at.. take the dimmer out of the circuit so there is no resistor and see if it still does it..
or as John says a poor earth connection could do it. I think they usually have a single earth that links across the gauges.

As per DaveW try the dimmer switch. Mine was playing up by dimming the lights fully.
I disconnected and reconnected the push on terminals on it and it was ok after that.
Why it is there I don't know. Why drive at night unable to see the clocks?
If it plays up again I may just bypass it.

You could also have a failed regulator pack in the alternator especially if the external lights are flickering.
Measure the voltage in the ciggy socket with the engine running it should be around 14.3 volts anything above 14.5 and it could be on its way out

No its not souls its that bloody ghost the phantom mog rider who jumps in enjoys fiddling with things has no bloody idea what it is touching and cocks it up . I wish he would sod off to another car club , but they all said they sent him to us.  Dave mine don't do that. Very strange. I am sure Morgans have souls hence the quirks!
