it's an underground garage in my apartment block with around 90 spaces.

the 911 is a GT3

glad you enjoyed the pics.

I had a very brief spell in the Blackfriars underpass .. it was sensational and hilarious. Will be riot in longer tunnels when the engine is more run in.

I haven't seen my car with the 'wok' attached. Will have a go as soon as I buy some allen keys. For me, the spare wheel is extra crash protection. Trouble is, you can simply remove it as there's no lock.

I'm currently working on a slightly quieter exhaust system, as I can see long journeys getting quite tiring, and my tinnitus is bad enough already. I have a spare longer straight through silencer which needs very slight mods to fit. Personally, I find the ride a bit firm too. Having played around with the adjustable shock absorbers, I have come to the conclusion that there is so little movement that adjustment makes no difference. I'll be intererested to hear others owners views on this.

BTW the handbook says that the tank holds 55 litres, but at a smidge over 20mpg, it goes down pretty quickly!

it's all the little bits that make it what it is. The black bits on the exterior coordinate very well, and the starting procedure is just marvellous.

I didn't find it too loud when cruising on A roads and motorways, especially roof down.

I averaged according to trip computer, 23.6mpg from Exeter to London. The reserve light came on when the gauge showed 1/4 full, which is about 18 litres to go!

GT3 is much sharper and is the precision instrument with incredible ability and stunning performance. ARP4 I suspect (once engine is let loose) will be a completely difference experience, but still one in which you really 'drive' the car, and one where every drive is a journey, and not just going from A to B.

it is a Porsche special colour called Fashion Grey or modegrau

very hard to photograph the colour as it is light sensitive; you can see the car looks different in various lighting conditions

I like the fact Morgan have left 'Cosworth' on the engine - I've often wondered why they cover up BMW on the +8. I'm delighted to have a big Beemer engine under the louvres, the home made MMC panel is a bit, er, home made looking.

true about more weight on the rear axle re: spare wheel

I am pleased that the 'Cosworth' badging is restricted to the engine -- it would have too much if it was an "ARP4 Cosworth" or "Cosworth ARP4".

the time needed to get to know the car is what is endearing and enduring. it's not an instant noodle, or fast food, or snapchat here and now.

I read your report with great interest, for one reason because it is written very well, fair, insightful and it meets the more seldom balance between personal emotional involement/expectation and a more "objektive" point of view.

And secondly rour report is a very good excample how a Morgan (built quality, feel and touch etc) is compared by a guy who is completely new to the Morgan world. It is always my thought that in a lot of areas Morgans are built very very good. But most of us here are getting used to it an therefore it is like a fresh breeze if you, SFO, report your first but very trueful experiences. Thanks also for your so good shot pics.

+1 - an excellently written report, good pictures and a lovely car. Nice choice of colours and trim that really set the car off to great advantage.

As Heinz says it's interesting to read your take as a newbie to the mark on the build quality, certainly as you can compare it to your Porsche. Certainly none of the manufacturers get it right all the time, we have just had a major recall on one of our Porsche, but certainly the will is there at Morgan to get it right and I'm delighted with the build quality of my Plus 8.

Enjoy putting some miles on your car SFO and maybe you can give us a running report as they mount up. thumbs flag

Sounds like a fabulous car - hope you get to put lots more miles on this year.

The colour looks great in the pictures - an excellent choice.

Great write-up, thanks for sharing. Your experiences so far are fairly similar to mine. Are you experiencing any steering wheel shake at high(er) speeds?

Absolutely brilliant, love the look of the car. Would it be correct of me to assume that, as you have an underground car park, your block is somewhere in E.London? If so, please let us know what it sounds like through the Blackwall or the Rotherhithe tunnels or maybe the Limehouse Link.
My son lives in C.Wharf and we sometimes get to hear "naughty boys" having a play in Lambos and Fezzas.
The very best of luck and good times. woohoo

A stunner....

Grey and Red inside, with the Red chassis...so smart!

I especially like the wheels, far better than the new Aero 8 wheels, in my view. I wonder if they are available as 18" with the correct stud pattern and offset?

Enjoy...serially!
