I've never heard of kingpins needing bedding in!
Have you have the toe-in checked? The symptoms you describe could be due to insufficent toe-in or even toe-out.

Some say that the front end improves a lot over the first thousand miles. I'll report back in June 😊.

I'm new to Morgans sliding pillar suspension and collected my new car with 442 miles on the clock. It's been used as a Virgin Experience demo car by the factory and hence new drivers every time.
I've just almost doubled that mileage this weekend, and subjectively I think the steering has freed up a little. It certainly feels a little easier to turn the wheel more than an eighth of a turn either way, so maybe they do take some 'running in'..?

I was advised by Ledgerwood Morgan to allow 1000 miles for the front end to bed in...and they were right...steering was easier and less bobbing up and down under braking.

Exactly my advise by Newtown Motors when my car was brand new, hence my posting above. Am getting the same on new hard chrome king pins, these are now almost smooth again after about 1200 miles.

The cause and solution is known for the Morgan 'bounce', or 'bobbing nose', has been mentioned many times by various contributors. PJB.

Hello Hubby (Wirewheel) my dentist would disagree about that Morgan 'bounce' being nearly over!! Ah! The dreaded nodding dog syndrome. I could make a recommendation as to what to buy him instead of an Easter egg. It could save you money on dental fees too.
