I love the way it's referred to as an 'upgrade' rather than a fault..

Well, one point of view is that since it came from Ford with the engine, as a package, it's without fault.......

And now there's an upgrade available which is better than standard. innocent thumbs

...well the salesmen love to call it that! mad2

I too am of the strong opinion that it just cures a dangerous fault first line, but upgrades the car´s performance in many (more) ways. drive

The only way not to spend what they ask you for is to live with the widely known ... erm ... let´s call them "peculiarities" hide

It doesn´t matter how fast it becomes, but how it becomes fast. laugh2

I had been waiting for this problem to be sorted before ordering a Roadster.
A company offering ECU fixes or mechanical improvements as optional extras, doesn't convince me to take the Morgan route.
Looks like I may be heading off Howards Way.

Howards Way ...am sure that was a Sunday night drama 25+ years ago!!

Seriously I have a 3.7 - it must have had the ECU "upgrade" as it runs sooo well.

Or am I tempting fate???!!! doh

Do not know - my car came with it.

ECU upgrade is an option for new Roadsters £2400, or £4020 with the flywheel and timing chain it should of had.

Power on a rolling road maybe?

Mine went straight through mot last Monday, emmisions had improved against the test done for me when I tested the ECU upgrade for the factory Jan to Mar 2015. I have had no issues and would recommend it.
