Got 4 quotes, went with Gott & Wynne. Very pleasant to deal with.

Gavin (as noted above) helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.

I have just been getting quotes for mine , Gavin at Gott and Wynne was very knowledgeable and I was tempted but the quote had too many restrictions.
Same price but more features from Headley re hill climbs and track days etc.

I think I rang every company with ads in Miscellany. Went with Heritage being price competitive and covering track days and agreed value subject to 6 photos of car. Mileage limited to 5000 miles but 90 days European cover included.

Would anyone care to share the cost? I had a quote from Gott & Wynne at a smidgen under £500, but no track days etc.

Compare this with the cost for a Caterham CSR 260 at around £350, admittedly the car is 'only' valued at £45k, but substantially more nonetheless.

I am with Footman James, £350 for my 1993 Plus 8 (£30k value)

I didn't bother with track day cover as I don't think the ARP4 will pass any of the noise tests!

I have a horrendous post code so my premium is nudging a grand ..

Thanks Ken, but once the value gets to over £55k the cost of insurance seems to go up considerably, and some firms want a tracker fitted too, as if anyone would steal a Morgan eh? although, maybe in central London?

I've heard it's a very dodgy area.....

I too used Gott and Wynne, being my only car (apart from my wifes Fiesta) they were the only ones to offer insurance, all the others expected me to have another vehicle which was insured and therefore have no claims, I have not had another car for over three years and a classic scheme for the plus 4 for over 10 years so it was a shock when I rang round after quotes. I have been with Gott and Wynne for all that time and they were more than happy to keep me as a customer

it's because I am so close to the Crown Jewels!
