Not that one I suspect Steve. Not moved in a number of years. In the last 40 years, 75% of UK garages have closed. The A388 has a disused garage every few miles. This one, at Chapmans Well on the A388 near Launceston even has rusting cars in front of disused pumps like a scene from a movie. I'm sure they would accept just about any offer on the Triumph.

Blame the supermarkets, the environmental regulations and planners.
Together they made it almost impossible to run a small petrol station and to sell it for another use outside the motor trade.
The Supermarkets loss lead fuel. So no one makes any money selling fuel.
The Environmental regulations, designed to prevent contamination of ground water by fuel, particularly diesel, mean that very expensive replacement of tanks with twin wall sumped tanks is required.
The planning rules mean that the site is worthless as to sell the site and get a change of use the tanks have to be removed and the soil contamination remediated. Very expensive.
But it is perfectly legal to walk away...
So they end up as car wash sites, used van lots or are simply abandoned..

There was a item on a T.v programme about a bloke who travels the country taking pictures of old garages and filling stations.
They were beautiful buildings not like the standard ones of today.
In Bala there must be one of the few petrol stations that serve over a pavement?
Or are there others?

We have a beauty locally at Salford Priors.
It's like looking back 50 years.
Will take a pic next time I go past.
No petrol,but the pumps are there. It's still a working village garage.
