Good point about titanium and Tissot are a quality manufacturer with heritage
Mine is a model T660 - no longer is production but I have recently seen two secondhand ones in good condition for sale on the interweb for around £150.

Non date sub, it's all the watch you'd ever need.
I had a stainless steel Daytona and a GMT as well and they weren't getting used so I sold them and 're purposed the money'!!!
My eye sight is getting worse to the extent that I struggle to see the time on a white dial, and even with the cyclops viewer I can't see the date, so the plain black, simple, perfectly symmetrical dial of the non date sub is perfection.
I do have a 50's 18 carat gold Omega seamaster the keeps almost perfect time, and I do like the planet ocean range, but they don't seem well made enough some how when compared to a rolex.
I've looked at Bremont watches a few times. I like the look of them, and the Britishness. I'll probably end up getting one at some point, perhaps a solo or MB.
Watches are such a personal thing, theres a lot of choice out there at the moment, what ever you buy doesn't have to be for ever, it just needs to fit your current needs…… but if you find the 'for ever' watch……….!!!

You may also have a look on Zeno watches from Swiss. I have an oversized one with 47 mm diameter. Very easy to read, big but not too heavy, ETA Caliber - my every day watch
Best regards from Austria

Which model is it ? I had a look today in a Tag Jewelers but they all looked very fussy
I think the exact model might be discontinued, but this one has got pretty much the same spec, the only difference is that mine has got numerals for 12,2,4,6 and 10 O'clock rather than just the dash marks.

For a really simple and good looking watch it is hard to go past the MeisterSinger. It only has an hour hand which means reading it with more than 5 minutes accuracy is difficult, but that suits the somehow timeless world of Morgan pretty well. It takes a little while to get acustomed to it and it is always a talking point. I have a Chronograph as my Morgan watch but that has some extra buttons and mini dials. This is the simplest version in a plain single handed watch. http://www.meistersinger.net/collection/...ung_braun-braun

Wear a Bremont Solo as my day to day watch. Simple , hard wearing, mechanical, luminous and built just outside Henley!

Those Bremonts are really nice looking watches, the only downside from my POV is that I can't be doing with leather straps. I guess it depends on one's lifestyle, I seem to spend all my spare time getting dirty, whether it's the cars, the animals, the land or the garden. My sole core skill appears to be ending up covered in grease, oil, dirt, or dermot - and quite often apparently all of them at the same time
