John Taylor outside full cover, think it was about £65. Works well elasticated ends and the under straps.

I have a Specialised Cover (Stormshield) on my Golf. It's now three years old, and has done a fantastic job.

The positive is that the car always looks showroom when uncovered. The negative is that you can't cover a dirty car, and that's where Meguiars Quick Detailer comes in handy!

In adverse weather through winter it sometimes gets condensation on flat surfaces, so it needs occasionally lifting through the winter for a quick detail.

It has four adjustable straps, which I've colour coded so they don't get mixed up.

Son in Law has one for his Mk2 Golf - same result.

Mine is still like new, apart from environmental soiling. Of course my irritating neighbour managed to damage it one night by burning who knows what on his wood burner. Whatever came out of the chimney landed on the cover and burnt about 30 holes in it.
Luckily it was a very cold night so the paint wasn't damaged at all. But the fabric melted, leaving black shiny holes, most the size of a hole punch, but a few were finger size. I used some offcuts from the storage bag to patch it up, and later treated it to some fire retardant spray.

It's a great product. (No connection).

Have you seen the Machine Mart temporary garages? Worth a look if you have the room for one.

Alas no room I have to park in a lay by next to my cottage on a road, halfway up a montain road that gets very stormy in winter. I'm looking for a barn to store the car in but looking doubtful. I have a 'specialized' make car cover. But it's not up to much. I shall need a multilayer heavy duty cover gloomy

I use a Prestige Stormshield. It does the job and protects the car. Although it is breathable condensation does build up under the cover on cold damp mornings.
I always try to get car dry and clean before putting the cover on.
If you order one make sure you let them know if you have a luggage rack as they use different patterns depending on the rack being fitted or not.
