A pleasant run to Southport today for the Festival of Speed with a promised vintage car parade down Lord Street.
Well worth going but the parade was a bit light on vehicles made up of quite a few E-Types and old MGs with a sprinkling of others.
Thoroughly enjoyable though.

Down to Banbury on to Southam.
Off on the Fosse back to Stratford .
Very very enjoyable 60 mile run.

Went up to Preston Marina this aft for a drive and an excuse to get some teak oil from the chandlery in glorious sunshine
People out and about queuing for ice creams - it seemed like Summer
On the way back down the A59 I saw a Morgan parked in a lay-by so I pulled in behind and met Barry B from Liverpool in his fine bright red 3.9 litre Plus 8
He was waiting for a friend in a Mustang to catch up!!!

Went to buy a bird box from a chap in the next village. They have selection hanging on the front fence about two feet up said to his wife can I I have that Brown one, she said sorry but the Blue Tits have moved in  I'll get you one from the shed. Turns out they have a dozen around the back garden all empty and two of the display at the front have occupants

A mere 22 mile round trip to see the gardens at Holme Pierrepont Hall for a pleasant walk round. Did not know it was one of the first brick built houses.

Eton to Haselmere and back on country roads, hood down in perfect sunshine most of the time. Just under 100 miles, absolutely super English country-side. Did not see any other Morgan's, though did see a couple of E-types being driven with enthusiasm going the opposite way.
