Love the shifter ball. I will have one of those on mine, if it will ever arrive. Two weeks and counting.

Thanks, guys!

Dolph, watch out as not all pool ball shifter knobs are created equal. Make sure that the internal components are metal and not plastic and that it comes with a locking nut and is not just the screw on kind. You can use any that has the standard Mazda MX-5 shift knob threading.

So you bought the ball already drilled and with a threaded insert? I thought you might have drilled yourself a ball off a pool table.

Yes, I bought it from eBay. Here is the vendor that i got it from: Billiard Pool Ball Shifter Shift Knob - eBay

You have to specify what number pool ball that you want and that you need it threaded 10mm x 1.25 for a Mazda MX-5.

Dab of lock tight and no more rattling shift knob, plus if someone were to steal it you aren't out the $120 that I was quoted to replace the original.
