That's good to hear Phillip as still waiting for mine to be built. I was just reporting on what I saw on a 2014 and possibly early 2015 model. When I placed my order recently the dealer mentioned the spacers but not the slot.

Guess any water that comes in through the slots is free to drop out of the cover courtesy of the spacing washers.

There is actually a large cutout in the underside of the cover to facilitate this, sorry no pics. but it is approximately 10mm x 40mm.

Thanks Roger - so there are slots at the front of the cover a big hole at the bottom and its spaced out from the crankcase.

I've been in contact with Confederate today. They've gotten right back to me with emails all morning. The cost is about $350. I asked if it were ventilated and they said no, but I could drill some hole is I wanted to.

They also said, They do not have the gasket for the cover but if I was real careful when removing mine I could probably reuse it. Do you think I could reuse the spacers I currently have been upgraded to? Maybe it will get too dirty inside to look cool after a while. I don't want to do harm for looks.

What are your opinions?

Im not sure why you would want to vent your Cover as you are simply allowing more debris into the case this way. I understand the idea of letting the heat out, but without some sort of filter, it would seem like a pretty bad trade-off.

Confederate originally had their covers priced at ~750, so at ~350 you have yourself quite a good deal.
