Well selling my Rolex on EBay was a bit of a disaster even though I was prepared to rebuff lots of scammers
Today was the last day and I received a high bid this morning from a username with no history ie a big fat (0) after his/her name and when I looked the account had just been set up
I thought I had put controls on who could bid which is usually no one with less than 5 feedback
So I cancelled the bid with the reason 'no history'
Then a second bid came in after that to the same amount £2,700 from another brand new account
So I cancelled that as well
Then I get a message from the next highest bidder who was now the highest bidder at £2,500 saying he suspected I was 'bidding up' to get the price raised and said if won it could I please cancel his order
I replied that I would and he did end up winning it at £2,500
So I messaged him after he had won it asking if I should cancel his order
He replied yes but if I wanted to sell at £2,100 he'd be interested
I politely thanked him for the offer but cancelled the order
So it looks like I might have to keep the Explorer 2 after all
Might investigate getting a dial and hand replacement as its the tritium model with no lume
Ah well
Watch this space Eric - thats a standard scam. Cause the buyer to lose trust in the system and then underbid. I would bet that if you asked eBay to look into the system the accounts all belong to the same person. They can then suspend the main account. They will not confirm this to you but it does happen in the background.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Stewart, there is an interesting website "chrono24.com" and they have a nice app too.
It is to your own risk to open the website or to install the app. Has cost me some money in recent years because of the wide range of nice pictures...
(If you want to sell your RLX Chrono24 may be an approprirate forum too.)

5. Mechanical not Quartz - only because I'm a bit of a watch snob and I like things mechanical and will happily suffer poor timekeeping rather then have a Quartz watch movement which can cost as little as 10 pence to make
Thats illogical. You want a watch for daily use and messing around with the Morgan. In other words as a tool not as an ornament or a treasured posession. So the only function of such a watch is to tell the time so why have one that does that one job badly. Its like having a blunt knife or an unreliable car.

Yes very probably Anyway I've still got the watch - it doesn't owe me anything - I wont attempt to sell it on Ebay again - I know some who haven't had any trouble but I'm going to get it serviced and its case refurbished or take it into a Rolex dealer and see what they will offer against a New 2016 Explorer 1 or The new 2016 Air-king
