MY ARP4 was delivered last Monday, 240 miles by road from Krazyhorse. The colour is gloss Prosecco with stone leather interior. Spare wheel and luggage rack fitted also Wolf bonnet stays and paint protection film. So I've had it a week and my first impressions are as follows. First, the car is beautifully finished both inside and out. Morgan have certainly put some effort into building the ARP4. The car rides better than my 2007 +4 which I sold last September. Much smoother ride, the new suspension is impressive. It backfires a lot! but I'm told Cotworth build this feature in! Driving through Chard last Tuesday being followed by a Police car and backfiring a number of times was not helpful! The car is loud, very loud but driving with the hood up cuts down the noise. The lined hood and the better fitted side screens are also a help. The dashboard is impressive with many new instruments and controls. This is the first sports car i have ever owned fitted with a quadrophonic amplifier! Spent some time trying to find a dipstick to check the oil level only to be told by another ARP4 owner there isn't one. Any suggestions how to check it? I'll post some more when I have time and some photo's.

Eddie,
sounds a peach.... I look forward to seeing photos. I agree, the dash is vastly better, I wonder if it will become standard on the +4 and roadster?
If there is no dip-stick there should be an electronic way to measure oil level, my Merc has this "feature".

On a dry sump engine there should be a 'level' indicator in the tank? You need to check with your dealer. I understand that the level should be measured with hot oil but the engine not running. Look inside the oil tank and hopefully you'll find either an internal 'dipstick' or a slotted baffle.

It was great to speak the other day Eddie, I would love to compare the ride, as my car is really hard, with no compliance whatsoever. As several owners, like yourself, have commented on how good the ride is, I can only think that mine was built 'tighter' than some of the others. I am in contact with the factory, and will see how it develops after 1000 miles. I am halfway there already, so can start using 5000rpm occasionally now, this is where the fun begins. If only the ride was better.....
I will look up the oil checking procedure from the handbook of another car which uses the same engine, only in 2.3l form, and post it here for other owners. If I remember correctly, they actually supplied a dipstick, but this could be made from any suitable material.

Could it (the dipstick) function be one of the many functions available via the button on the speedo?
Here for a good time not a long time!! Reg

Hi All you out there with an ARP4. I also tried to find how to check oil level on my car. This is how to do it. Run engine for a short while to clear all oil from the sump, lift nearside bonnet against the bulkhead is aluminium oil storage tank unscrew top look inside at the bottom are two baffles with engine still running level should be to the top baffle and no higher, [ take note ]I am told by factory to only use oil grade as specified on tank top.
