May I extend it further:
Most murder cases happen within the family
The death toll on our streets is higher than from terrorist attacs
Tobacco, alcohol, salt and sugar do kill more people than machine guns

Islamic terrorists are a small threat to Western Civilisation
They are just an excuse for politicians to reduce our civil rights

I agree - but unfortunately I don't think it's going to happen through education. We can't really sit back whilst we try to educate fanatics who are hell-bent on destroying us. Fundamentalists are kind of hard to get through to...

It's an interesting debate when sublime tolerance meets savage intolerance.

Yes, there's no point trying to educate fundamentalist terrorists, a bullet is the best response to them. It's the rest of the Muslim population that we need to reach out to with education - that's the way to prevent the growth of fundamentalist terrorists.

But not too much, we don't want them to decide to start eating pork or drinking alcohol, for example. The impact on world beer and bacon supplies would be catastrophic...

Here in Northamptonistan English speakers are seen as a minority in the town centre. The many Eastern European languages and cultures have resulted in gang fights on weekend nights, with the trade mark belt strikes from those cultures on anyone within reach, plus the plethora of Polish and similar shops opening up on the roads in.

We have members of the Muslim community, mingling with the many Hindu faith followers but not mixing with the Afro-Caribbeans, who now ally with the Nigerians to make weekend shopping such a noisy and colourful affair.

Most accept that they may have a Chinese take-away in the evenings thus allowing the Chinese community to take the profits down to the two major casino's until the early hours and drive home in their 888 registered cars.

I submitted a proposal to the local council recently to paint everyone green. This way, there would be no discrimination and people would be instantly acceptable. They thought about this and decided to make a compromise due to a reduction in Government funding of funding and use Netto own brand paint, which was produced in Russia.

This now meant that whilst everyone was now green, some were a light green and some were a dark green, and so the problem continues.

The council have now submitted a proposal that they form a research group to look into the issues.

In the meantime, here in the countryside the white community are segregated into the upper and middle classes, and to top it all my village newsletter carries lots of information regarding the employment of a 'dog poo' warden to counter the problem of any Parish councillor who sees a dog squatting by the end of his garden.

Everyone thinks Italy is a Catholic country. The state institutions, such as schools, are supposed to be non-religious but by long tradition classrooms often have a crucifix on display. One could argue that that should not be the case in a state school anyway but they are now being removed. Why? You guessed it.

What is perhaps more of a problem is lunches provided in the primary schools for children. In a country that is the home of prosciutto pork products are now being banned from school lunches.

To my way of thinking this in no way leads to a tolerant and multicultural state. The correct answer is to provide an alternative just as you would for a child that has an allergy to tomatoes.

I find it a great irony that we have a huge influx of migrants that are escaping intolerance, war, and violence, and are supposedly seeking a better life, but arrive with all the cultural baggage that led to that intolerance, war, and violence in the first place.

You make a good point Peter. It must be the human condition. We Brits don't blend in abroad, and we certainly didn't during Empire. How many British living abroad now have learned the language and blended in?
Migrants from anywhere want to create a piece of where they came from and wonder why the locals don't like it.
