Why, oh why, couldn't MMC have offered that layout?
My only concern is the passenger airbag door, it seems to have hinges along the lower edge. On the +8 the passenger airbag cover is designed to drop away below the dash, held by 3 seatbelt webbing straps. Has anyone tested the hinge mechanism works and doesn't foul the opening bag?
If the bag was removed and a glove box fitted I'd be even more tempted. I'm not convinced that passenger airbags are that much use in an open car like the Plus 8. Belts and a roll bar are more likely to make a difference.

Mods to airbags are a tricky area, it's going to have to declared to ones insurance company for approval.

I'm not worried about airbags, particularly having owned vintage cars (and a Morgan) without them.
I'd be interesting in knowing more about the Borghi dash and the sort of effort/cost involved in having the conversion made. It looks stunning.

Hi Brian, I would also like any info re this dash, if it can be fitted to the current Plus 8. As you are aware we are waiting for our new Plus 8 & the dash was a real question mark for us.I don't understand why it is so basic when you see the quality dash on the new Aero.
Cheers Graeme
