Will have to check the chassis number.

Colour is a Mercedes colour, Azurite Blue I think - you are right though it does look very similar to the Ferrari colour.. similar metallic fleck as well. thumbs

I always thought that the front end of the series 1 in particular was one of the best looking cars I have seen. I wont comment on the rear. ooo

I find that Aeros look far better in the flesh than they do in photographs, and far better in motion than they do when stationary. I guess it's all down to the dynamism of the design or something?

I can't remember when I last took the Aero out for a drive and someone did not wave, toot their horn, 'thumbs up' or stop to talk/take selfie/ask about the car.
We now almost have to plan extra time for our journey if e.g. we are off to the coast for a jaunt because of the attention the car gets.. smile

Not complaining , just commenting that most people seem to really like the S1 Aero..... thumbs

It is most definitely a marmite design, for me its motoring perfection!
I looked at all sorts from 911 Turbo's, the Alfa 4C, to the Audi R8.. in the end I narrowed it down to the Morgan and an Aston Martin Vantage, I was going to get the Aston until I saw the Aero in the flesh (it had been about 10 years since I had seen one) and I had forgotten how good they look in person, I was sold.

Still it would be a most boring world if everyone loved them, I can't say I mind it being a rare site - feels all the more special.

Yes....Agreed, the rear end has never looked good to my eyes

It's as if the designer had run out of ideas

I actually think that the rear end on the S1 looks OK, there are much worse rear ends out there. The way it sweeps down when the roof is on looks quite good, maybe it could have been improved by it having shut lines along the edge of the rear wing so it looked part of them, if you get my meaning, but them I expect it would have been costly to do.

I must be alone but I love the rear.. elegant lines, nice detailing on the rear wing where it swoops to the lights, a nice lip on the bootlid and the low gangster roof.. especially with the quad exhausts love
