The wipers on my 2011 roadster have stopped returning to the parked position when I do a 'flick' single wipe and when I do a windscreen wash. Does anybody know what it is that controls this function such that I can try some diagnostics/replacement?

Usually a microswitch on the wiper motor/gearbox... Good luck.

Check the multipin connector to the wiper motor and the one behind in the steering wheel shroud. Give them a clean and a squirt with switch cleaner.

Used to be a classic sign that the motor had lost its earth, we used to put a quick fly lead on the motor (ground its casing with a wire to the engine block, if it moves the arms to the park position (ign on and wipers stopped part way as you describe of course) then clean all earths. Cleaning the block connectors is very good advice also, as is check the one under the motor as it gets full of trapped water.
