Hi have had the car in storage over winter first mistake . Currently none of rear lights and also boot not working. I also get bulb failure error on dash. If a bulb fails would it stop all of the lights at the rear working?? Car is booked in for morgan service but not for another few weeks as they are booked up. Wondered if any suggestions on anything I can do in the interim. I checked the fuse box but couldnt work out from the labels which fuse might relate to this (if indeed it's a fuse) Also tried usual disconnecting and reconnecting battery trick, which normally cures other electrical foibles. Thanks, Reuben

Sounds like an earth issue.
If there is no earth then none of the bulbs will work and the brain will think a bulb has failed.

Maybe worth looking for a multiplug feeding the rear lights and boot section, poor connection or corrosion over the winter period.
Good luck.

Sounds like the light units in question are in the finest traditions of Italian electrics.

Sounds like the light units in question are in the finest traditions of Italian electrics. This time seems to me that it's more finest tradition of British engineering, since it involves the boot release as well and considering the random "bulb failure" on mine, while everything is working perfectly.

I suspect you are right Ale after all Lucas the "Prince of darkness" paved the way...

All, thanks for the feedback, based on the above I decided to wait for garage to take a look.
Turns out root cause was water ingress into boot - boot solenoid failed, and emergency release cable is apparently linked to this, so they had to break into boot effectively.
Canbus control unit also flooded so that's why rear lights not working.
I think a cover will be purchased if leaving outside again for a while.
