Am new to "talk morgan" today - and relatively new to Morgan ownership! Can anyone help with a paint code please? I have a 1998 built plus 4 (2.0 Rover) two seater in original factory applied Corsa Red and am seeking touch up paint. I am struggling to find the correct paint code. Is it recorded anywhere on the car?
I have tried looking at the colour library websites but strangely they tend not to list Morgans. Also any suggestions for best place to go for this - my nearest dealer says he is struggling to source touch up paint for this himself! thank you!

Not sure where you will find the code on a trad. I ordered a heritage certificate for my car which contains the paint code. I think these cost about £10. You should then be able to match it to the manufacturer. I'm sure you will find that Corsa Red has been a colour used by many manufactures. John. PS Welcome to the site.

Thanks for the suggestion - I'm sure you are right that the "corsa red" colour will have been used by several manufacturers - I guess that's what worries me is that there will be more than one corsa red - a bit like british racing green!

It's Ferrari Corsa Rosso. I got mine from Halfords as a mixed aerosol and a touch up with a brush. There are three specs, and from memory I think that mine was listed as 300/12.

As Dave W says, Morgan Corsa Red is Ferrari Rosso Corsa. Several years ago, the factory changed their paint suppliers/ process and they now use Glasurit but so far as I am aware, that makes no difference.
if you want to make doubly sure, either phone or e-mail the Factory and they will confirm and give you the code
Mine's a Corsa Red 4/4 ( late 2000)

God, I hope not- stunning looks, great noise - but electrics by partypoppers and clutch plate in miniature!!
Actually, it's partly sour grapes- I'm too tall to get into the great majority of 'em
Cheers

Funny you should say that GLLHG.......... At Curborough recently, I had a sit in a FastFIAT. Now I'm a short 'rse, but even so, the peak of my Mogtalk cap was catching on the top of the screen. So I might look the part in my red ensemble, but it's just not me, even if I had the cash......... Now an old one with carbs would be a different kettle of fish. But hang on a minute, they cost even more............
