I use the Clarke 1.25 tonne Alloy Racing Jack. It's light, stable and nicely made.

I use the Clarke 1.25 tonne Alloy Racing Jack. It's light, stable and nicely made. And me. Although mine is getting pretty shagged now after being shoved around on the rough concrete of my old garage, but it works well.

I use a Sealey Yankee 3 tonne trolley jack. Well built and with spares back up yet low enough to go under the Morgan.
Came bundled with two axle stands which are very sturdy.
Cost was less than £100.
My aluminium one lasted less than 3 months!
Cheers

The distance from the side of the wing to the jacking point behind the front wheel on my Plus 8 (Aluminium Chassis) is 20 inches... So the distance from the lift pivot point to the load pad should be, ideally, 20+ inches. Height isn't as much of an issue. SGS seem to have what is needed. But at 50kg it is heavy and at 1m long it isn't small...!

Pete, I have a similar(rebadged) Jack to the one Jays mentioned. You are welcome to come round and see it, hopefully in action tomorrow when I changeover to red and tacky grease. PM me for address.

With 3 old Morgans I have 2 trolley jacks. And a lot of jack stands.
