Sorted..!  No rush to "get their skates on" then!  "Is eddie's problem a one off of less than good build or checks?"My handbrake does not work either, so it is appearing as if it is a design problem. I often wonder how stuff like this, which workers in the factory must know about, is allowed out of the door?

I don't suppose there is much expansion of iron or steel disks when hot, but there will be some. This means that when the disk and pads cool down there may be a fraction of contraction and, perhaps, a fraction less grip. If the grip is marginal in the first place a fraction less grip may be all it needs to start moving on a steep slope.
My feeling is that if one has any doubts at all the wheels should be turned towards the kerb and if there is no kerb a chock may be advisable. In any case always leave the car in first gear, lock it, and put the tonneau cover on (or hood up) to discourage any idiot from getting in the car for a photo.
No doubt sooner or later there will be a fix for this issue.

Good advice Peter, but it seems a shame that the handbrake doesn't work properly in the first place, I doubt it will even be that hard to get it working.

I redesigned the handbrake cable setup for the rear disc conversion so that it worked properly when I was at Mulfab
Then the factory changed the handbrake......
If someone wants to lend me an ARP4 for a couple of days I can sort out the handbrake and then go and beat the factory into submission...

The ARP4 brakes are Mulfab front and rear. A couple of years ago I got fed up with the lack of effective handbrake on Peter's original design and redesigned all the cables etc. Yes it was for the fly off handbrake I offered to help the factory get the new handbrake working, but it seems they haven't bothered Simon @ SiFab.co.uk

I wouldn't have thought it was rocket science. More a matter of leverage and simplified cable runs, am I right Simon? You could have my car if you weren't so far away from Taunton.
I get the impression that the 'engineers' at MMC feel they know best, yet stuff they let out into production is clearly wrong, I'm thinking here more of the Three Wheeler debacle, but stuff like the non working handbrake is typical, especially if there was someone like Simon who offerred to correct it and didn't have his hand bitten off.
