Hi everyone, due to ill health, I have unfortunately realised that I need to sell the 4/4, and would appreciate any advice. I have spoken to a couple of the main protagonists, Morgan dealers and I found their valuation reasonable, but their commission a little high. So would you recommend posting on Mogtalk or going with the dreaded eBay?
1978 4/4, all aluminium body and wings two seater ,22,000 Mls. New adjustable AVOs on the front , bonnet strap, luggage rack, could do with sand blasting . New “Gemma” steering rack, all leather interior dark green, except for the seats, I had the work done professionally, while the exterior is Caledonia green, electric radiator cooling fan, if my memory is still working it’s a Kenlowe, 5 speed Sierra gear box, Original tonneau and hood plus a spare. Replacement wiring loom from Melvin Rutter. Wind deflectors. New starter motor like everything else added in the last 6 K miles. Needs a couple replacement turnbuckle eyelets and press stud fasteners. I looked at the tub, some six years ago, and it looked reasonable. I have had this car for 6 thousand miles; it has been kept in the garage. I will put on a brand new battery.
Regards Max

Seconded. If health prevents you managing the sale process then a Morgan dealer on commission is a safe bet.

I buy second hand cars by searching the internet.
I sold all my motorbikes and cars via the www in recent years. No auctions - but using free advertising sites, never ebay.

I have no idea how your home market works but in central Europe it is a good option to sell on the www.

I'm sorry you have to sell your car Max it's a problem we will all have to face one day.

I sold my previous Plus 8 on the MSCC site (not a member) successfully for a reasonable asking price which was paid in full. This way you avoid the tyre kickers, only serious buyers call is what I found and as an aside it also went to a good new home which was important to me.

Good Luck.
