Concerning entry/exit, I find that the best technique for getting in is head first and for exit, feet out first. It's still a bit of a struggle if you are over 6ft and no longer athletic...

I would not pull the hood frame up as it bends very easy.
Also if you get hood tensioners make sure the windscreen seal is on the correct side of screen frame as it can crack the screen if on wrong side when you tighten up.

Hood up, thanks everyone for your guidance.
Frame first then fastened back to front.
Think I will look into these swivel hood pivots though....sounds interesting.
Now just practicing the entry and exit.

When you are pulling like hell at the hood and it refuses to reach those places .Instead of swearing and pulling your hair out. Go and get your wife's hair dryer switch it on hot and warm the hood it softens up and gives the hood that little bit extra movement .

Off course when its her birthday or if you are in the bad books buy her a new one . Then you can slip the old one in the garage without her saying anything. innocent hide

I put my hood in the airing cupboard the night before I plan to fit it.

It's ironic that Morgan hoods are easiest to fit on warm summer days.

Store the car with the hood on and up, especially in the colder weather they can shrink slightly and become difficult to fit. Wash off with warm soapy water it if needs a clean when on car and then towel dry off. I found treating with McGueirs vinyl cleaner keeps it looking good and supple. If its become too stiff from cold bring it indoors and let it warm up in airing cupboard.

As others said follow the rear first method then over the hoops and fix screen tabs from mille to outside.

Buy John Taylor's great hood swivels they make it easy to tension the thing once set up.

I basically crawl in head first & out feet first with the hood up. Not pretty but it works.

John Taylor`s swivels are very good.
There is no way of getting in or out of the car elegantly if the hood is up - so just accept it & enjoy.
