+1 Jays you walk the difficult diplomatic line perfectly with encouraging feedback for the customers, carry on please.

More importantly you have Morgan stamped through you like a stick of rock.

I think we all enjoy Jays posts (I know I do) but we need to understand that him having a special relationship with MMC it'll always be difficult to walk the thin line between what he thinks personally and what the factory wants to be said publicly. Most of the time I'm sure this isn't a problem but you never know how your words might be used and once they come out of your mouth they become public domain, just ask Red Ken wink

But if you guys want a balanced approach on how to be baffled by Morgan's engineering quality and lack of care or even respect for its costumers while at the same time loving the cars rolling out of Pickerlseigh and sticking with them against any and all better judgements ... ask me and I'll answer whatever you want.

It is an MMC cock up for sure, to release cars that are not fault free and it be such an obvious one to spot is disgraceful, BUT instead of having a go at them why not let the owners say their bit and then let MMC find the solution and sort the darn thing out?

If and its a big IF, I had an ARP4 I wouldn't be chucking it back and getting all legal on MMC, I'd be using it, enjoying it and expecting to hear when a fix is ready. Its not the end of the world is it? and even major manufacturers get it wrong and have recalls regularly, I say give the guys a break.

I won't be rushing to put a deposit on an Aero until I know it's water tight.

I have yet to own a ragtop that is 100% watertight - certainly my wife's current Mercedes made Smart roadster is far from watertight so what chance have Morgan?. Nearest I have got was the Lotus.

My MGB Roadster from many years ago and the Triumph Spitfire somewhat more recently were both pretty much waterproof. My Mk1 MX-5 was excellent in that respect (just remember to keep the drain tubes clear... smile ).

Limited volumes should not mean limited development.

As a 'traditional' Morgan, why is the ARP4 handbrake much worse than its siblings? Is the design so different?

Thats unrealistic. Limited volumes particularly at that price level mean limited resources. There is no way that Morgan engineers, assuming that they have them, could put a million test miles on a car.

Anyway to cheer you lot up, have a look at This and in particular the list of cars he mentions. Guess whats amongst them!

Newsflash:

My sources tell me that MMC have 'a revised steel bracket' that will rectify the issue of the poor handbrakes and that they are now awaiting stock.

Stay cool boys....
