Just 200Kms to Dublin and back to replace the sump on my mate's roadster! His sump had dumped its contents in a car park and was trailered home. Peter Mulberry to the rescue and all is well again.

''Twas good fun!!

I must admit spins in the mog does involve a lot of tea and cake and this might contribute to a saggy suspension. As i remember it Graham you never said no at sheseley last year when my wife got the cream cake out of the boot (its good for some things).

Took the recently converted 4/4 to Breakfast. Want to put a few miles on the car, now that it is running on gasoline to determine just what sort of mileage I will get with the new configuration. I don't use the non functioning gas gauge and just use the odometer. I filled the car up, with gasoline for the very first time on Thursday and want to put about 100 miles or so on the car, prior to another fill up. That should give a sense of what mileage to expect around town (worse case scenario).

Cheers,

Mark

A round trip of some 265 miles in the Plus 8 with Crunchie, the long way down back-roads in the main, to Stoneleigh for the National Kit Car show. Some interesting exhibits, but nothing major purchased - we both had had warnings about further car purchases! nono swmbo

On the way there we had breakfast, full English with coffee and two slices of toast, at Reg's Cafe on an industrial estate in Banbury. Been there before and can recommend it if you're in the vicinity (Graham!). eat
