I can well imagine since it wants to fly, but self imposed 3500rpm limit frown until a few more miles on the clock.

Been unseasonally cool in the UK but note that fan comes on very shortly after coming to a standstill. Guessing this is normal for a tight new engine.

Yep 1.2 US = 1 imperial gallon. So Ken's 24mpg would be 29mpg this side of the pond.

I drive her in ac manner she asks for and deserves, briskly but not abusive. Wow...just realized, the same way I treat all my ladies!

According to handbook there is a temperature parameter as well which is born out by the fact it doesn't always come on instantly below 10mph.

That 3,500 limit is OK, but do NOT drive her much lower than 2,800. That motor HATES being lugged, and much less than 2,800 is harder on her than 4,000. The motor is electronically governed to not let you over rev during the run in period. Don't be too cautious.
